Pro-Same Sex Marriage Essay Same sex marriage is something that has been up for debate for a long time in America. Though views of homosexuality are slowly becoming more accepting and less "Come on Jonny let's shoot the faggot", marriage for same sex couples is still a long way away in many states. Written for

March open theme contest.

To clarify; this is, of course, intended as irony. In no way, shape, or form do I believe homosexuality (or any other sexuality) to be anything other than natural human variation.

This was inspired by my friend, who has been suffering some homophobic abuse lately. One of the abusers kept saying that 'poofters were diseased'.
Afterwards, this friend made the joke that if that was so, he could call in queer to school.

EDIT
A few people have commented, telling me that this is not original, and having Googled it, I find that there are dozens of quotes with the same sentiment, some with almost exactly the same wording.
As a result, I am ofcourse withdrawing it from SixWordStories's competition. Because this has sparked some quite interesting discussions on homophobia however (some seem to be implicitly debating Kantian ethics), I intend to leave the deviation here. If anyone sees a legal or DA rules violation with this, please comment below.
I would however like to note, that at the time of writing this, I did not know it was already a common phrase.
